Brendon Moeller (Echocord, Third Ear) and Monty Luke (Mothership, Planet E) unite as Zodiac for an LP of dusky DJ tools. Serengeti By Night lives up to its title by offering up smooth, nocturnal deep house tracks. The influence of Theo Parrish’s early oeuvre is strong in the way tracks have their widescreen, reverb-drenched atmospheres anchored by shuffling four-to-the-floor grooves. There is a welcome dub-techno flavour to the production on cuts like ‘Truce’.
