Tallinn-based Porridge Bullet issue the third of their Bullets compilations. Number 3 contains five jams that are all deep and housey to varying degrees. Madis Puuraid’s ‘Teramachi’, Ruutupoiss’s ‘Mjau’ and Neuronphase’s ‘I Have None’ all skitter along on crisp, breakbeat-boosted grooves. While Ruutupoiss’s tape-satured production has a Mood Hut/Pender Street Steppers vibe to it, the others are more obtuse - think Shinichi Atobe. Elsewhere on Bullets Number 3 we have another entry from Neuronphase (the retro, Cameo-esque synth-funk jam ‘Its Yr Groove’) and Aiwa’s ‘Wakeywalk’, an abstract house tune as dreamy as the title suggests.
