Planet Euphorique’s latest release is a set of potent, drum-led and psychedelic techno from Ronan. Dream Portal is an apt name for this EP - the combination of fast, pounding rhythms and psychedelic production quirks really does make you feel like you’ve opened up a portal to the other side. There is something of Planet Euphorique boss D. Tiffany to the chattering 303s and fourth-world atmospheres that crop up across Dream Portal, though Ronan’s tracks are more fidgety than the sort of thing Tiffany would come up with. Reptant - responsible for the label’s fourth drop back in 2018 - turns in an old-skool electro remix of Dream Portal’s title-track to round out the EP.
