Fans of the Peckham house school - Rhythm Section International, Chaos In The CBD, FYI Chris that sort of thing - should look no further than this new EP from Tenderlonious. Often found leading a jazz ensemble, Think Twice sees Tenderlonious switching to electronics for a set of deep delights. Modern masters like Motor City Drum Ensemble, Theo Parrish and Moodymann are clear influences on the dusk-lit shuffles of ‘Uncle Larry’ and ‘Big Leffe’. Closing cut ‘Tru Blu’ sees the producer bust out his trusty flute, a choice which brings out the jazz influence of Think Twice still further. This one is being released, as is often the case with Tenderlonious joints, on his own 22a label.
