Shari Vari - a duo of Helena Ratka and Pampa Records favourite Sophia Kennedy - drop their debut LP through Malka Tuti. NOW is a cheeky and subversive set of electronic pop tunes that have as much minimal synth to them as they do synth pop. Tracks like ‘Dance Alone’ and ‘Out Of Order’ come off like a Suicide song being given a going-over by Robyn. Elsewhere ‘Jungle’ has a sort of fourth-world-noir thing going on. All in all NOW is a rather cool record.
