Another set of leftfield, future-forward techno from one of the best in the business. After previously releasing on labels like The Trilogy Tapes and Black Opal, J. Albert rocks up on Hypercolour for the Wake Me Up EP. Albert has always had a knack for using techno blueprints as grounds for experimentation while still keeping the beats moving forward, and on cuts like ‘Paradolia’ and ‘World War Me’ he does this with aplomb once more. The back-end of Wake Me Up also has a bit of a breakbeat/hardcore influence to it. Think Special Request, Nikki Nair and Metrist.
