David Axelrod’s Earth Rot was originally released in 1970. Coming off the back of his highly influential first two LPs Song Of Innocence (1968) and Songs Of Experience (1969), this record saw Axelrod commenting on the state of the environment and the coming ecological crisis - issues still very much on everyone’s minds in the modern age. Dealing in a more pensive, slightly jazzier version of the lush library-pop style he’d built his name on, this new edition of Earth Rot from Now Again Records has been remastered and is accompanied by an informative booklet.
