In the same vein as WRWTFWW Records’ pedigree of rediscovering and reissuing lost minimal ambient masterpieces, they’re also interested in facilitating conversation with the greats. That’s where the gossamer light Laistigh Den Ghleo by Irish composer Gareth Quinn Redmond comes in. Conceptually derived from Satoshi Ashikawa’s equally ephemeral Still Way (Wave Notation 2) — also on WRWTFWW Records — Redmond’s delicate looms of piano and synthesised sound form a retelling of ambient music history.
