‘Kazega Fuitara Sayonara’, the opening track from Grimm Grimm’s 2015 debut LP Hazy Eyes Maybe, gets the remix treatment from both Klein and Killer-Bong here. The original tune was a hypnagogic pop masterpiece, a symphony in miniature equal-parts Spiritualized and Ariel Pink, and the dreamy scope is maintained by Killer-Bong’s version - this kaleidoscopic beat odyssey finds the sweet-spot between Panda Bear and Flying Lotus. On Klein’s re-working we descend into much darker depths that remind us of some of the finest work from Muslimgauze.
