The year 2019 marks the anniversary of two major events in extraterrestrial travel, one literal, one metaphysical. The former is the 50th anniversary of the moon landing; the latter is the 30th anniversary of TV Victor’s Moondance. Amsterdam label Lullabies For Insomniacs celebrate both with TV Victor’s Back To The Moon, a selection of unreleased and restored works, lovingly arranged from his archives. Just as Moondance imagined the future of ambient music’s coalescence with trance, so to does Back To The Moon revisit those innovations, one small step at a time.
