A set of pretty, welcoming electronics from Greville here. While it may be the first release on the Mad Habitat imprint, Fiddles & Twicks is a record that wouldn’t sound out of place on labels like Antinote, Safe Trip and Planet Euphorique. On cuts like ‘530’ and ‘Brother Of Marbles’ we find Balearic synths and vaguely new age textures lapping gently over rolling house drums. Elsewhere ‘AVG (Mew Mix)’ strips out the beats entirely to journey into kosmische. A lovely listen.
