Tony Marchant and Anthony Byrne’s television series Butterfly concerned an 11-year-old boy, Max, who begins to realise that he is a trans girl. The show follows Max’s transition to Maxine and his family’s acceptance of his choice. What better people, then, to do the music for a bold coming of age tale like Butterfly than Stranger Things composers/S U R V I V E members Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein? The pair turn in a series of typically stirring synth-pop instrumentals on the Butterfly OST, and their score now gets a standalone release courtesy of Invada.
