The highly anticipated new release from Surgeon has finally arrived and features two original compositions alongside a couple of stunning remixes from Autechre and Disinvectant.

The original tracks are both solid Surgeon cuts packed with all the noise and paranoia that you'd expect. 'Bad Hands Break' is a slow paced electro-tinged piece whereas 'Bad Hands Part 2' ups the tempo and gets slightly harder. The 'Dislocated Finger Remix' from Brummie band Disinvectant is a harsh, noisy beast of a track that runs the originals' metallic sounds through a low-slung dubstep groove machine. Autechre meanwhile slice and dice the parts as only they can with a remix that starts off relatively straight by their standards (retains the 4/4 beat e.t.c...) and then veers off in some strange and unexpected directions.
