The latest drop on Livity Sound’s Dnuos Ytivil sub-label (see what they’ve done there?) is a triple-threat from Bristolian duo Cando. ‘Bleak’ kicks the EP off in lively fashion - while anchored in the sort of weighty subs we’d expect from an act coming out of the West Country, the eight-armed drum programming and Balearic-influenced synths push this track in the direction of artists like River Yarra and Jun Kamoda. ‘Sundown’ breaks the beats up while remaining just as evocative. A dub of ‘Bleak’ rounds out this release.
