Following the fledgling releases of her collaboration project Floorplan — established with musical comrade and father Robert — as well as flexing her maniacal remixing skills (see 2017’s ‘Never Grow Old’), Lyric Hood’s debut EP on M-Plant drops with sky-rocketed expectations. Luckily, the abilities she’s cultivated thus far guarantee the reliability of her hands. ‘Nineteen’ is a striking dance anthem for the times in addition to being a taunting reminder of our producer’s chops beyond youth, while ‘11:11’ follows suit with a buzzing Detroit beat designed for the replay button.
