Primarily known for his work in film and television, Max de Wardener now comes through with his first LP for Village Green Recordings. On Kolmar we find de Wardener primarily composing for instrumental curios from the 20th Century - an Ondes Martenot, a Buchla Music Easel and a Cristal Bachet are but three of the tools de Wardener works with here. From these he constructs contemporary classical compositions that are not a million miles away from Nils Frahm’s most arresting music.
