Corin debuts on Bedouin Records with the tense, atmospheric Manifest LP. The way that hypnotic minor-key synth lines combine with intrusions of sub bass and potent swirls of reverb on tracks like ‘The New Flesh’ is very reminiscent of Fatima Al Qadiri. However, Al Qadiri would never take on trance (as Corin does on ‘Catalyst’) or hard techno (‘Dissect’). The furious club deconstructionism of ‘Rivalry’ is reminiscent of another fearsome Bedouin Records release, Xosar’s The Possessor Possesses Nothing.
