At this point in time UVB-76 can lay claim to being one of the most consistent labels in drum ‘n’ bass. The Bristolian imprint always come through with darkside junglism of the highest quality, and new drop from returning favourite Outer Heaven does nothing to buck that trend. The Last Men EP is a set of paranoid, skittering jungle tracks that sound like mutant children of Dub Phizix’s ‘Marka’. Nestled in the middle is ‘Blemish’, a syrupy industrial trip-hop number that could almost pass for Prurient.
