Max Graef’s Employee and Can Kilic’s Funkycan join forces for a drop on Berlin’s Beatbude Records. Graef takes us on an intriguing trip for A-side ‘Windy Pipes’. While this track has the propulsive energy of techno and the sort of production we’d associate with the leftfield disco of the Sex Tags Mania crew, ‘Windy Pipes’s bassline puts us firmly in dub territory. It’s an unusual and pleasing blend of styles. Funkycan takes us down more of a micro-house route with ‘Surfing Swan’.
