‘Sizzling’ is a track that Daphni originally crafted for a New Year’s Eve party. As such, it’s no surprise that this is such a celebratory piece of music. At the core of ‘Sizzling’ is Paradise’s 1981 disco tune ‘Sizzlin’ Hot’, a cut that’s already bursting with funk and groove. Daphni doesn’t mess with it too much here - ‘Sizzling’ is as much an edit as it is a tune in its own right. As the horns and vocals spill ecstatically from the speakers Daphni warms up the low-end to give the kick drum even more impact. The result? Dancefloor dynamite.
