The Martyn revival continues apace with Odds Against Us, a record that finds the producer back on Ostgut Ton following the success of last year’s Voids LP for the label. While Odds Against Us still falls on the side of techno, this is an EP that sees Martyn indulging his junglist tendencies more than usual - ‘B.C. 2’, for instance, is straight-up drum ‘n’ bass goodness. ‘Rhythm Ritual’ and the Odds Against Us title-track are broiling breakbeat techno fusions.
