The year is 2006, and the media landscape, if not the entire planet, is a very different place. If algorithmically curated music was in its nascency, locating the left-field and generally forgotten certainly wasn’t an option, unless you knew of a particularly eccentric record shop owner nearby. For many, Andrew “Lovefingers” Hogge was that eccentric in the digital realm, curating a daily unfolding mix of boutique tunes and thrift store finds, nestling Fleetwood Mac next to the likes of Eddie Callahan.
