Many-masked Tadd Mullinix — aka Dabrye aka SK-1 aka Charles Manier, etc. — gets an appearance in under his JTC moniker with two cuts of full-fat minimal techno, released on his own Bopside label. Neatly sidestepping the instantly gratifying, both ‘FlightSTRENS2Rd’ and ‘The Assembly’ take their time invoking their world: a crepuscular scene of ritual significance, lively with bonfire-lit figures casting shadows on standing stones, bound in collective movement. The point: a communal slow release, a long-distance sort of euphoria.
