Swiss act Lowell only released one single, 1985’s ‘No Matter’. But what a single it is - a chic club tune that’s anchored in Italo-Disco but also takes influence from Bowie, the Pet Shop Boys and the Paradise Garage sound. Major Problems and Compassion Cuts have now reissued both the vocal and instrumental mix, and the No Matter EP also comes backed by a remix from Mancunian mainstay Ruf Dug - his version is a low-slung Balearic cruiser.
