Brighton’s Mause is, by all accounts, a favourite of Brainwaltzera. One spin of the Ubal EP and you can believe that to be true. Much like the mysterious Brainwaltzera - a fellow of the Analogical Force stable - Mause’s trick is to bring together the whirligig rhythmic invention of IDM with some gorgeous ambient keys work. The way in which breakbeats and Braindance basslines give way to synthetic vistas across Ubal really is delightful - check ‘FX22’ in particular.
