Les Disques du Crepuscule present a souped-up version of Gavin Bryars’ 1981 LP Hommages. The record is a set of spectral, ghostly post-minimalist composition that are led by Bryars himself on piano and vibraphone. The effect is not dissimilar to a more haunting rendering of some contemporaneous piece by Philip Glass or Steve Reich. On this reissued version of Hommages we are treated to two bonus tracks, remastered audio and extensive liner notes from Bryars.
