Synkro enlists two of his mates from Apollo Records as collaborators for the latest release through his own Synkro Records. On the A-side we find Synkro and Arovane creating a wistful and evocative hybrid of dubstep, IDM and drum & bass. The way ‘Transmission’s groove flits between double-time and half-time is reminiscent of Ital Tek. On ‘Get Together’ we find Synkro teaming up with Marenn Sukie to similar effect. That said, the textures of ‘Get Together’ might be even more spaced-out and ambient than they were on ‘Transmission’ - the track’s frosty opening loops bring to mind the spiritual Brainfeeder sound of Teebs.
