Saxophonist and composer Ben Vince continues to forge his own path with new LP Don’t Give Your Life. On this record Vince brings together several of the different parts of his output while also looking to come up with new sounds. The techno experiments he’s tried alongside Joy Orbison make their presence felt again on tracks like ‘Luxx’; ‘Makeshift Paradigm’ exists somewhere between contemporary chamber composition and The Comet Is Coming; cuts such as ‘Fallout’ and ‘Mark Of The Spirit’ see Vince manipulating his saxophone to create droning soundscapes. Don’t Give Your Life boasts guests on almost every track - Rupert Clervaux, Bianca Scout and Jacob Samuel are among the featured artists.
