Mark Stewart’s Claro Intelecto project returns to Delsin for an EP of bubbling club tracks. On Forgotten Wasteland we find Stewart flitting back and forth between techno and electro styles to great effect. ‘The Thunderdome’ and ‘Messages’ are the most driving dancefloor wedges, though their chattering basslines and insistent drums are slightly tempered by the warm synth pads that enter towards the end of both tunes. Elsewhere on Forgotten Wasteland ‘Sirens’ is a slower, almost Innervisions-esque piece of tech-house while ‘Sniffer Dogs’ is technoid hip-hop ala Dabrye.
