Effervescent disco-house tunes from the Compassion Crew, dropped just in time for summer. The Altar EP contains three prime DJ tools in the Motor City Drum Ensemble/Soundstream vein - ‘Alter 2’ and ‘Altar 3’ in particular could have been nabbed from MCDE’s Raw Cuts series. Old soul/funk samples, warm jazzy keyboards and crisp four-to-the-floor drum programming - you can’t go wrong really. Altar also marks Compassion Crew’s return to Major Problems, a label they’ve not released on since 2016.
