DIBIAI$E, for those of you not in the know, is another one of those LA beat-smiths in the Flying Lotus/Madlib mould. On Bonus Levels, his first LP for three years, DIBIAI$E comes through with a set of head-nodders that draw from classic video-game culture. The 8-bit sound that backbones many of these cuts gives them a strong whiff of Madvillain’s Madvillainy. Pals Elaquent and 14KT crop up in the second half with a couple of remixes.
