Henrik Schwarz is clearly very into classical music at the moment. After releasing records in which he’s reinterpreted some of his house productions for solo piano (Works Piano) and collaborated with the Grammy-winning Metropole Orchestre (Scripted Orchestra), new LP CCMYK sees Schwarz join forces with Amsterdam’s Alma Quartet. CCMYK acts like a pared-back version of the Metropole Orchestre collaboration - in fact, downsizing from full orchestra to string quartet actually allows Schwarz to explore a greater sonic range than he did on the bombastic Scripted Orchestra. CCYMK is out via Schwarz’s own Between Buttons label.
