You’ll probably know John Elliott best for his work in Emeralds, but the Ohio-based artist has also been quietly releasing pretty ambient records as Imaginary Softwoods for more than a decade. 2016 cassette Gold Fiction Loop Garden now gets a vinyl pressing courtesy of Field Records. A woozy high of analog synthesisers and FX, Gold Fiction Loop Garden is the kind of moth-eared prettiness we also find in the work of artists like Khotin and Cankun.
