Morbidly inspired by his mother’s vividly-rendered near death experience — preceded by three disembodied knocks on her office door and later, under the effect of heavy sedatives, a visit from angels warning of impending disaster — Jim Mroz, aka Lussuria, took to forging the shadowy Three Knocks. As such, the album darkly pulses with esoteric knowledge, and unnerves with a genuine terror amid the swampy ambience, like an inhuman presence lurking unseen.
