Bleep

Though it’s been resequenced and restored here like a beloved (yet relatively new) antique, the real power of Emily A. Sprague’s Water Memory / Mount Vision is its diaristic nature. To listen is to be sat at the shore next to Sprague, watching a symbiotic relationship lap at the edges of consciousness. The gently oscillating ambience melds with her poetry, as if in perfect agreement. Yet the natural world, as Sprague translates it, contains a deep intellect we humans may never truly understand.
