Low Jack’s Breizh EP is a collection of swampy, mutated industrial dancehall. The Editions Gravats boss invokes the likes of DJ Nigga Fox and Don’t DJ here, his productions often taking abrupt left turns or circling around ever-more disorientating loops. Observe the manner in which dub atmospherics shroud ‘Robert (Le Bourg version)’ and ‘They Rule (Cap-Sizun remix)’ - or how ‘Tempo Riddim (Lasers edit)’, a track with a Timbaland-esque groove at its core, crowds itself out of the mix.
