Berlin-based hardware fiend JakoJako steps up with her first EP on Leisure System. Aequilibration is a set of sci-fi techno jams that occasionally cross over into tech-house. Proceedings start up with ‘F22.0’, a hissing melange of kicks and hi-hats befitting of Ostgut Ton. ‘Kogn. Dissonanz’ is similarly eerie, its twittering synths and cross-rhythmic kick drums sure to draw audiences closer to the speakers if deployed in the dance. ‘Resilienz’ is the tech-house jam while psychedelic closer ‘Katharsis’ takes us back to ‘Kogn. Dissonanz’ territory.
