The first of Julian Dessagne’s Microdosing EPs fronts a set of hostile techno tracks that have a propensity for crossing over into minimal wave and electronic post-punk. Manfredas and Bozzwell’s ‘Mind Machine’ and Autarkic’s ‘I Quote Myself’ are the most obvious dancefloor moments on Microdosing, Vol. 1, though both give the impression that they could combust at any moment. The entries from Dessagne’s Fantastic Twins - original ‘Bali Vlog’ and Smagghe & Cross collaboration ‘Song For Nobody’ - are seasick synth-punk. Naum Gobo’s twittering ‘Raze’ rounds out Microdosing, Vol. 1.
