Oliver Ho returns to L.I.E.S. for the second volume of Broken English Club’s White Rats series. White Rats II was inspired, in part, by J. G. Ballard’s novel Crash. This book has also formed the backbone of work by artists like Phase Fatale and The Normal, and there is definitely a shared sonic aesthetic between White Rats II and both artists - The Normal’s machine-driven minimal wave and Phase Fatale’s crunching industrial EBM style can both be found in this LP.
