City Of Women were a Finnish alternative-music supergroup that numbered flautist Jimi Tenor and the late avant-garde composer Edward Vesala among them. The project’s first LP was released in 2000 (a year after Vesala’s death), and now almost two decades later we get the follow-up. City Of Women II is another highly unusual record, one that renders avant-jazz, musique concrete and free music on a number of homemade instruments. A singular album.
