The third LP from Toronto’s Doomsquad is one that dances the pain away. Let Yourself Be Seen takes its cues from records like Talking Heads’ Stop Making Sense, Hercules & Love Affair’s eponymous debut full-length and Robyn’s Body Talk. That is to say, this is an album that works through moments of anxiety - personal, public and political - with righteous songwriting and tight club grooves. Tracks like ‘Dorian’s Closet’ and ‘General Hum’ are dance-punk bangers for burning down the house.
