When Surgeon comes through with some material he’s calling Raw Trax you know that it’s going to be a wild ride. The two EPs he’s releasing under this name contain tracks conceived for 2018’s Amsterdam Dance Event and were hewn from nothing more than a 909 and a Portabella synthesiser. In true Surgeon style the cuts of Raw Trax 1 go about their business with devilish intent, their clattering drums and precision-engineered modulars never letting up at any point. This is heavy techno goodness from a master of the style.
