The latest full-length from Ellen Allien finds the club mainstay showing off her full array of tricks. Alientronic is a record that dabbles in techno and techno-adjacent soundscaping. Opening tracks ‘Empathy’ and ‘MDMA’ set the scene perfectly with their evocative synths and burbling rhythms, but Alientronic really hits its stride in the middle - cuts such as ‘Bowie In Harmony’ and ‘Love Distortion’ are the kind of Berlin bangers Allien has got down to a T over her long and distinguished career.
