Far, far below the London skyline, down in the city’s ever-bustling club scene, Lithuanian producer Mantas Povilaika aka DJ JM was making moving bodies with clangorous near-industrial house. No Days Off picks up where DJ JM left off with 2018’s Sorriso, just as the preceding chapter reveals a hint of what comes next. He’s upped the dissonance with the likes of ‘Ray Mound’ and ‘Bar Bell’, drawing eerie grooves from unconventional means, coming close to a defining statement with the dark side weekend warrior anthem ‘No Days Off’.
