On the face things, furrow-browed South London foursome black midi sound like Shellac or NoMeansNo, or like Slint with a pep in their step. But they’re of a new school altogether. Don’t praise them as the saviours of indie rock, now shattered like a vase across the floor; they’re more interested in forging something else from the pieces. They’ve now achieved the impossible with ‘Talking Heads’ and ‘Crow’s Perch’: delivered on the hype.
