With the Director’s Cut series we find Jeff Mills curating his own catalogue. These EPs allow Mills to shine a light on some of the choicest morsels from his archives while also offering new insight into his story and process. Chapter 2, for instance, puts a track like 1999’s ‘If (We)’ front and centre once again. ‘G-Star’ (2012), ‘Cycle 30 (Loop 4)’ (1994) and newer tune ‘As Soon As’ make up the set. The Director’s Cut Chapter 2 is an excellent legacy release from an artist who already has quite the legacy in any case.
