The excellent Radiante Pourpre collective return to Antinote with another LP that blurs the boundary between ambient, electronic composition and musique concrete. As it was with the group’s eponymous debut record, II finds lost-at-sea melodies drifting over slow, dub-adjacent instrumentals, and proceedings are often interrupted by opaque loops or found sounds. A keener interest in melody and more focus on structure brings Radiante Pourpre closer in sound to fellow Antinoter Domenique Dupont than they have been previously.
