Vakula gets straight to the point on his new EP. Acid Tools are promised and acid tools are delivered, with titles done away with and tracks simply numbered by where they appear on the record. Stylistically the half-dozen entries here operate in the same zone as a Super Rhythm Trax, Don’t Recordings or Dixon Avenue Basement Jams release. That is to say that basslines snake delightfully and 808s clatter away in the background. The vibe of Acid Tools is sweaty, heady and hugely fun.
