Kinlaw & Franco Franco’s Mezzi Umani Mezze Macchine is one of those power electronics albums that sound like they’ve been recorded direct to tape at a cage fight. This is a record of disorientating, distorted and abrasive digital punk. Some tracks - ‘Loom Weights’, for instance - are so grainy as to mesh together into a sort of crust-drone. Mezzi Umani Mezze Macchine clearest moments - ‘Positivo’, ‘Cuore Molle Palle Mosce’ - have the righteous fury of clipping. and early Death Grips.
