The second instalment of Cache Cache’s Plastic Dance series emerges three years after the first. Volume Two promises more ‘domestic synth-pop & patchbay punk’, and it certainly delivers on that front. These ten tracks contain rare nuggets of computerised punk - minimal wave, coldwave, no wave and just about all the other waves get a look in, and there’s a healthy dash of freakbeat and general WTF electronics here too. Plastic Dance: Volume Two is one for the freaks and weirdos. Bonus points for those of you who spot the future members of 808 State and the Manchester Music Collective buried in the cast list.
